Welcome

If you find yourself reading this it is because you are an integral part of the Geula process. Geula (pronounced guh-oola) is the Hebrew word that defines a period of time prophesied in Jewish sources.  It is described as the following:

“There will be neither famine nor war, neither envy nor strife, because goodness will flow in abundance and all delightful things will be available as dust. The occupation of the entire world will be solely to know G-d.” — Maimonides, Code of Law 1100’s

Now, who doesn’t want this? Sounds awesome, right? Many people are referring to this present moment in history as the “age of consciousness” or the “age of intuition.” I will refer to it as the time of Geula.

In 1991, my spiritual leader, the Lubavitcher Rebbe, stated that “the time of your Geula has arrived.” He emphasized that we need only to “open our eyes” to recognize that the world is holding there. But how do we look at what’s going on in this physical world and see this prophecy being revealed? The world looks quite dark in many ways — there still seems to be a lot of people suffering on an individual level and on a global level. How do I reconcile the Rebbe’s words with what I experience as negative in my own life and those around me? How do I make sense of the famines and wars that are still present in many parts of the world?

The answer is simple — I don’t. I don’t try to make sense of the darkness or suffering. I don’t ask why, but I do ask what. What is it that I need to know or to do to transform something that seems so dark into light?

Jewish sages teach that the physical world was created because “G-d longed to have a dwelling in the lower world.1” Imagine how you feel in your dwelling place, your home. You’re comfortable to reveal your inner essence, your true self. This is what Hashem wants to do down here, in the most spiritually dense, most physical place — Hashem2 wants to reveal His3 Inner essence and G-dly light in our physical surroundings and in our minds, hearts and bodies. There is a flame in all our hearts that yearns for this revelation. But how do we access it?

Heart Flame Living is about nurturing and igniting that inner G-dly essence, transforming your own ego darkness into spiritual light and seeing with open eyes how you and this world are already a dwelling place for G-d. When we choose to live in this way we can help others ignite their heart flames and reveal peace, health, abundance and goodness for everyone on this earth.

Come, let’s notice and nurture what has already begun.

2 Hashem – a Hebrew term to refer to G-d. I use both G-d and Hashem interchangeably.

3 His — according to Judaism, G-d is neither male or female. Metaphorically speaking and according to Jewish mysticism, G-d has both female and male attributes. I am comfortable using His and Him, but please substitute whatever feels “right” to you. This site is not intended to try to “prove” anything to anyone, but to make known a Jewish prophecy that may bring comfort to anyone who would like to hear about it.
